John is now retired but he had his own rope-making business in New Bedford, Massachusetts for many years. His ropes sold worldwide. In 2006, John kindly gave me the rope you see in these pictures, which then lead to the creation of the Hawser Series. Thank you, John, for four years of inspiration!
